Objective

Rescue and simplify the existing emergency response application to enhance usability, secure residential properties, and prevent casualties and economic losses.

Prior contractors delivered complex, inconsistent software unsuitable for practical use by property maintenance teams, resulting in poor adoption and confusion.

Solution

Designed an accessibility-first web and mobile experience, shaped by deep user research. Built a modular TypeScript platform with resilient multi-database support and serverless AWS workflows to power critical property-management and emergency operations.

Results

Reduced software complexity and costs significantly (6 times cheaper than alternatives), achieved active usage by 300-400 customers, established an effective ecosystem for disaster preparedness education, and positioned for ongoing improvements and technological updates.
